Work Experience Provides...

Work Experiences allow a customer to be placed at a business or agency within the community to learn skills for competitive, integrated employment. Work Experiences can take place as a volunteer internship or as temporary paid work.

The duration and schedule of the Work Experience are designed with the customer's needs and desires in mind. However, all Work Experiences are short-term (8-12 weeks) and part-time, with a max of 20 hours per week.

Work Experience training can be done in a group and/or one-on-one. Work Ready provides After School Work Experiences for students, with additional Work Experience options during school hours for 18+ students, operating around their school schedule.

Work Ready’s job coaches are background-checked and credentialed through UNT, and Work Ready provides transportation to and from the job site.
